Solo is a hard water tolerant, low foaming, low freezing point liquid caustic detergent for dairy heat treated surface CIP applications. Solo is used for single stage CIP recovery cleaning in a wide range of applications, including cold surfaces as well. Solo can be used to clean a wide range of applications in dairy, e.g. HTST, homogenisers, storage, mixing and ageing tanks used in ice cream manufacture. Solo can be used to clean a wide range of applications across the food & beverage industries, e.g. vegetable evaporators in processed foods plants.

• Solo is highly effective in the single stage recovery cleaning of HTST’s and Evaporators in hard water, in the presence of very high levels of protein and calcium soiling. • Solo is low foaming and suitable for use in all dairy heat treated and cold surface CIP applications. • Solo is suitable for low temperature storage. • Solo is low foaming and suitable for use in CIP systems under conditions of high turbulence. • Solo is suitable for automatic dosing and control by conductivity.

Solo is used for CIP at 0.5-2.5% w/w (0.4-1.8% v/v) at temperatures ranging from 60-90°C depending upon application and soil type. Solo containing solutions should be thoroughly rinsed after use to remove them from all food and beverage contact surfaces.
